FIVE PRIORITIES. ONE CITY.

Start with the responsibilities.

These priorities guide the policies and leadership we support. Each begins with work Jacksonville residents depend on and a standard they can use to judge it.

01

Public Safety First

Every family should be able to use a neighborhood park, open a business, and call for help with confidence. Public safety is one of local government’s most basic responsibilities.

We support the people and preparation that make a dependable response possible: law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical services, dispatchers, and emergency planning. Resources should follow actual need, and strong public safety should go hand in hand with lawful authority, accountability, and trust.

02

Growth the City Can Serve

Jacksonville should welcome growth with a clear understanding of what it will require. New homes and businesses bring new demands on roads, drainage, utilities, parks, and public safety. Planning should account for those demands and the neighborhoods affected by them.

We believe the city should care for what it already owns and consider the full cost of new commitments, including maintenance and replacement. Responsible development should strengthen Jacksonville’s capacity to serve its people while respecting its neighborhoods and natural environment.

03

Opportunity to Build Here

Opportunity grows when people can work, develop their skills, take a risk, and build something of their own. Local government helps by providing reliable services, clear rules, and a fair, predictable process for doing business.

We support conditions that help Jacksonville attract good jobs and help businesses already rooted here succeed. A family restaurant, a contractor, and a new employer all deserve a city that handles its responsibilities well. Opportunity should be available without special access or political connections.

04

Public Money. Public Accountability.

Public money comes from the work and resources of the people. Government holds it in trust. That calls for clear priorities, careful spending, and an honest explanation of the value residents will receive.

We believe public commitments should come with a plain explanation of their purpose, full cost, expected result, and who is responsible. Residents should be able to follow that commitment through to delivery. Worthwhile work still deserves hard questions, and a promise deserves follow-through.

05

Work Across Party Lines

Jacksonville’s shared responsibilities require people to work together. We believe ideas should be judged on their merits and leaders should be willing to cooperate in good faith, give credit freely, and keep their independent judgment.

The same standard should apply across party lines: does a decision serve Jacksonville, use public resources responsibly, and stand up to honest scrutiny? We can disagree about the approach while remaining serious about the work residents need done.
